Short description
Within the scope of the joint project,
Roman camps along the Main River in Lower Franconia are being searched
by aerial photos and geophysical survey. The aim of the project is to
determine possible offensive routes of Roman armies for the subjugation
of Germania Magna in the area on the right bank of the Rhine.
In
the context of the project the master thesis of Saskia Wunsch arose:
Römer in Franken? Erkundung möglicher Standorte von Durchgangslagern der
augusteischen Zeit entlang des Mains im unter- und oberfränkischen
Raum. Masterarbeit bei Prof. Dr. D. Mischka, Prof. Dr. A. Grüner und
Prof. Dr. B. Dreyer
