Scientific Abstract

Topology optimisation (TO) methods generate ideal structures for given objective functions, loads and boundary conditions. A typical result of a FE-based topology optimisation is a triangulated surface mesh, which in most cases is largely irregular and does not provide a parametrised CAD geometry. Therefore, further integration into the product development process is challenging. Automatised, feature-based creation of parametric CAD geometry thus is the aim of “TopoRestruct".
