Project details

Short description

Although PF technologies have been researched and tested since the early 1990s, their dissemination has fallen far short of experts' expectations. The question therefore arises as to why this innovation has not really been able to establish itself and why the acceptance of this technology seems to be so low. The  project deals with, and examines, as a central criterion of adoption, the willingness to use the technology and, as factors relevant to diffusion, the willingness to recommend or the recommendation behavior. Predicting behavioral intentions should be possible mainly on the basis of two models, the theory of planned behavior and the extended technology acceptance model.

Scientific Abstract

Although PF technologies have been researched and tested since the early 1990s, their dissemination has fallen far short of experts' expectations. The question therefore arises as to why this innovation has not really been able to establish itself and why the acceptance of this technology seems to be so low. The  project deals with, and examines, as a central criterion of adoption, the willingness to use the technology and, as factors relevant to diffusion, the willingness to recommend or the recommendation behavior. Predicting behavioral intentions should be possible mainly on the basis of two models, the theory of planned behavior and the extended technology acceptance model.
