Abstract

We measure the temperature inside a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell with fiber Bragg gratings by incoherent optical frequency domain reflectometry (IOFDR). The results demonstrate the feasibility of installing an optical fiber inside a fuel cell and show proof of concept for temperature measurements.
