Abstract

"This article gives an overview about the institutional background and the set up of the SLTCI [social long-term care insurance] including a description of the available long term care programs. Following this introduction, we discuss the current and projected development on the revenue and the expenditure side of the SLCTI and summarize the existing estimations regarding the likely fiscal development of SLTCI in a mid to long term perspective. This part forms the basis for a concluding discussion of potential reform options that may improve the fiscal sustainability of SLTCI." (Textauszug, IAB-Doku)
