Abstract
Treatment in a Cardiac Arrest Centre (CAC) is associated with a better survival rate and neurological outcome, especially in patients with nontraumatic cardiovascular arrest. Patients with initial shockable rhythms and patients without prehospital recovery of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) especially benefit from the professional competence, equipment and close interdisciplinary cooperation of the disciplines involved in a CAC.
