Abstract
Centers eg. Endometriosis Centers (EC) take over important tasks in German healthcare system, that are not necessarily financed by case rates. The German Joint Federal Committee (G-BA) released the regulation concretizing specific tasks of centers and key priorities for receiving center surcharges according to 136c Abs 5 SGB V ( Regelungen zur Konkretisierung der besonderen Aufgaben von Zentren und Schwerpunkten gem β 136c Abs. 5 SGB V ) on January 1st, 2020. On this basis hospitals could qualify for surcharges being agreed between hospitals and health insurances for special tasks that are provided by centers. This work systematically checks whether and under which conditions Stiftung Endometrioseforschung (SEF) certified EC can qualify for these center surcharges. Results show that SEF certified EC take over typical center tasks according to G-BA regulations, however, special (political) criteria are missing, which are mandatory for obtainment.
