The overall goal of Measure 5.2 is the development of a scenario ontology for distributed simulation and to support the planning of simulation scenarios. As a first step, we collected and investigated already existing ontologies to make them available in a registry. Many parts of the process were done collaboratively with other work packages of NFDI4Energy, as collecting available ontologies was also the first step for the work on an energy research domain ontology, which is worked on as part of Measure 4.1. We evaluated the collected ontologies regarding their relevance for development of the simulation scenario ontology and added additional ones with focus on general simulation. In the document at hand, we describe the whole process, including the criteria for the evaluation and its results, in the form of a short overview of the most relevant ontologies.
