Abstract

This report summarizes the current status of available information on the large-scale power outage on the Iberian Peninsula and provides a system-oriented analysis of the sequence and consequences of the blackout. All information has been carefully gathered, verified and documented with the relevant sources. Nevertheless, it cannot be ruled out that some of the information already published may prove to be inaccurate as the investigation progresses. In a final conclusion, key aspects and measures are summarized in order to ensure future supply and system security in the European transmission grid and to sustainably increase the resilience of the systems.
